Unique Men’s Wedding Ring Should Reflect Personality of the Wearer

Many men want to acknowledge their union to the woman they love with a unique men’s wedding ring, something beyond the unadorned, traditional gold band. If you are one of these men, a popular nod to slightly non-traditional designs is going with a two tone men’s wedding ring which may incorporate two different types of gold such as yellow gold and white or rose gold. Or, you can really go off the beaten path and choose something totally different, something that reflects your personality, heritage or major interests in your life.

Different Metals

No one said that your unique men’s wedding ring needed to be gold … instead you could go with silver, platinum or even titanium. In fact, your choice of metal could be symbolic because each metal not only has specific physical properties but also certain nuances attached to them. For instance, gold bands symbolize classic expressions of everlasting love and stability.

Titanium is great for a unique men’s wedding ring and it is not only non-traditional but also less expensive than gold. The metal titanium has the distinction of being very strong and durable yet lighter than gold bands which provide more comfort to the wearer. A wedding band made from platinum is also a very strong and durable metal for a unique men’s wedding ring and this metal has the distinction of developing an attractive patina throughout the years which will give it character.

There are other metals that would make for a great unique men’s wedding ring but may not have the durability of the metals above. Copper and brass, with the right finish on them could provide an attractive appearance but would need more upkeep than the occasional buffing. New trends are seeing tungsten carbide and even stainless steel being incorporated into a unique men’s wedding ring and these two metals are very strong and symbolize durability, not only in materials but also in marriage.

Interesting Options

Perhaps you are proud of your Celtic or Native American heritage and want to reflect that into a unique men’s wedding ring – it’s possible! If you are a fan of sports, horses or even nautical pursuits, you could find a ring that suits and reflects your interest because no where is it written that gold band is a requisite. With a love of different textures and colors, you could choose a special gemstone to have inlaid into a contrasting band such as amber with platinum or sapphire in gold.

A growing trend in unique men’s wedding rings includes incorporating the great outdoors or natural elements into the jewelry. One of the most attractive specimen’s is inlaying wood into a band of metal such as silver, titanium or even gold. Some pairings that make for an attractive look include a polished red bloodwood in gold or dark ebony wood in titanium. A unique men’s wedding ring such as one of these would require precise sizing and special ordering. The possibilities for finding a symbol of your everlasting love and friendship with your spouse is endless and is only limited to your financial resources and imagination.
