No matter how you spell it, the phrase cubic zirconia engagement rings equals an answer of no when popping the question.  Let’s be honest, when a girl gets a huge glittery stone presented to her along with the big question she automatically assumes she is getting a diamond.

A cubic zirconia is not a diamond and you can only fool your girl for so long with cubic zirconia engagement rings.  Once she finds out the engagement will probably be over and don’t kid yourself, your delicate flower will take that ring to get it appraised if someone even mentions that something is not right about it.  As pretty as they try and make cubic zirconia engagement rings, and they can make them very pretty, they are still cubic zirconia engagement rings and they are very far from diamonds and every girl knows that.

The only way that cubic zirconia engagement rings will fly is an agreement in advance with your blushing bride.  You are allowed to buy her a very inexpensive cubic zirconia engagement ring that she will wear and tell everyone is a real diamond and you will supply a real diamond for the setting of the ring before the wedding.

The settings for some of these cubic zirconia engagement rings are gorgeous and you can absolutely get a setting that is made of real gold, silver, or platinum.  So many times a couple will agree on a setting and then put the cubic zirconia in there as a place holder for the real diamond that will be put in there as soon as possible.  The agreement will be very clear, no real diamond means no wedding and she will hold you to it.

Such a Shame

It is a shame too because cubic zirconia engagement rings set in real metal settings are gorgeous rings.  They grab the light very similar to a real diamond and they sparkle like a real diamond as well but some people can just tell they are not real diamonds and in the end that really does matter.  So just be sure that if you plan on using a cubic zirconia engagement ring that she understands that the diamond is on its way or else it will be short engagement.

Some things in an engagement are just expected and the diamond is one of them.  As nice as cubic zirconia engagement rings, and as cost effective as they are as well, they simply are not diamonds and that can make a big difference in the end.
