When it comes to versatility, elegance, and sophistication, diamond bracelets are just perfect accompaniments for a wide range of wardrobes. Diamond bracelets, because of its timeless and classic elegance, are the jewellery equivalent of those little black dresses.

Knowing what Diamond Tennis Bracelets Are

Diamond tennis bracelets were originally called eternity bracelets. These types of diamond bracelets obtained its ‘sporty’ name from Christ Evert, a world championship tennis player. He wore a piece of this jewellery during the 1987 US Open. During one of her infamous tennis match, the bracelet broke and the game was paused while she recovered it. The diamond bracelets became popular just because of its unintentional publicity.

Diamond bracelets have several defining characteristics. These bracelets mostly consist of very small gems that are strung symmetrically in continuous links along a very narrow but flexible chain without any charms or additional embellishments. Simply speaking, more gems than metal have to be visible, just the same to an engagement ring with a pave setting. However, different jewellers define diamond bracelets differently. Consequently, any design that uses repeating patterns of metal and diamonds may be called diamond bracelets.

Styles of Diamond Bracelets

There are different types and styles of diamond bracelets available. Although most of them are simple and predictable, some factors may alter the style of a diamond bracelet which includes: the stone shape, the stone choice, the type of metal, and the stone setting.

The most common stone shapes of a diamond bracelet is the round diamond although princess cuts and emerald are equally popular as well. Additionally, some bracelets intentionally alternate their shape for additional distinction. For diamond bracelets, others incorporate semi-precious gems and birthstones to customize the jewelry’s colour. The types of metal used are mostly white gold or yellow gold, although alternative gold types like sage and rose, may be utilized as well. For heavier and more valuable bracelets, platinum is the most suitable type of metal to use.

As for the stone setting, the most common choice is the simple four-prong setting. This particular set helps minimize the visible metals while effectively accentuate the stones. Also, full and partial bezel settings can be considered, along with channel setting in wider chain links, or more classy ones like the flush settings in figural arrangements or metal teardrops. Other popular styles have bars of metals positioned in between each stone setting in a variety of shapes, such as straight or S-shaped bars, swirls, and X-shapes.

Diamond bracelets are astonishing additions to your jewelry collection. From simple bands to the more elaborate designs, you can choose from a wide variety of styles to complete your wardrobe, providing you with a more classic and elegant flair.
