Different Grades

The slightly included grade is where the diamond clarity starts to wane. There is a better chance of noticing a flawed with the unaided eye, but the diamond is still a good value for those who are on a budget.

The last grades of diamond clarity are all grades of included. These grades have very visible flaws and are usually not suitable for fine jewelry. However, you can still find stores that will sell you diamonds of this clarity, though it is not recommended to use them as gifts.

Making Room for the Budget

If you are worried about the diamond clarity you have chosen, be sure to make up the difference with a great cut or a colored diamond. A good cut or really great setting can enhance almost any kind of diamond, no matter how visible the flaw may be. Another route is to pick out a diamond that is colored.

The color of the diamond will usually mask the flaw more than it would if you chose white diamonds. No matter what the occasion, make sure you are aware of the different types of diamond clarity when buying diamonds for yourself or for others.
